Dare to Dream
At Living Faith, we believe every child has the potential to be a visionary thinker, innovative creator and courageous problem-solver. Our value, Dare to Dream, encourages students to embrace creativity, think outside the square and approach challenges with curiosity and resilience. This value fosters a culture where imagination flourishes, ideas are celebrated and students are empowered to shape the future with boldness and originality.
Daring to dream means having the courage to explore the unknown, take risks in learning and develop solutions to real-world problems. It’s about fostering an innovative mindset - seeing setbacks as opportunities, questions as pathways to discovery and imagination as a tool for change. When students dare to dream, they develop the confidence to express new ideas, challenge the status quo and see possibilities where others see obstacles.
At Living Faith, Project-Based Learning (PBL) brings this value to life, enhancing engagement, innovation and problem-solving. Rather than completing worksheets, our students immerse themselves in meaningful projects requiring deep thinking, collaboration and creativity. As a worksheet-free school, we nurture curiosity through open-ended exploration, ensuring students’ natural wonder is maintained rather than diminished by closed activities and black-and-white thinking.
Fostering Creativity and Innovation
Through hands-on projects and inquiry-based learning, we cultivate students’ ability to dream big and think differently.
● Prep – Year 2: Young learners engage in storytelling, design challenges and exploratory play. They create inventions, dream up imaginative worlds and develop confidence in sharing ideas.
● Years 3 – 6: Older students take on design thinking projects, identifying problems, brainstorming solutions and bringing ideas to life through prototyping and testing. They explore real-world issues and develop the resilience to refine their work and take action.
A Curriculum that Nurtures Creativity
Our curriculum fosters students’ natural curiosity. Instead of rigid structures, we offer experiences that encourage exploration and experimentation. Spark (our STEAM subject) integrates digital and design technologies, engineering and creative thinking, engaging students in hands-on challenges that inspire innovation.
We also embrace The Arts, where all students from Prep to Year 6 participate in both Performing Arts and Visual Arts. Through music, drama, movement, painting and sculpture, students develop creative expression and divergent thinking skills. Performing Arts encourages storytelling, communication and confidence, while Visual Arts allows students to experiment with different media, techniques and perspectives.
Living Our Values
At Living Faith, students actively practice daring to dream:
● Prep: Imaginative storytelling, invention creation and playful exploration.
● Year 1: Hands-on engineering projects using everyday materials.
● Year 2: Designing their very own robot!
● Year 3: Engaging in a range of science experiments.
● Year 4: Designing inventions using mechanics.
● Year 5: Game design using apps.
● Year 6: Future-focused thinking on global challenges like climate change and space exploration.
Empowering Future Innovators
Daring to dream is more than thinking big - it’s about taking action, embracing creativity and having the courage to draw outside the lines. By fostering curiosity, innovation and problem-solving through Project-Based Learning, The Arts and Spark, we prepare students not just for the future but to create it. Our students develop the skills and confidence to challenge conventions, explore new ideas and bring their dreams to life in meaningful ways.
We celebrate curiosity, encourage bold thinking and nurture students’ ability to innovate. Through every lesson, project and creative endeavour, we ensure that their dreams don’t just remain ideas - they become realities. We look forward to seeing our students take risks, push boundaries and shape a world where anything is possible.
