Bullying No Way Week

Learning Landscape Wednesday, 06 Aug 2025

Monday, 11 August marks the beginning of Bullying No Way! - National Week of Action, which Living Faith recognises and supports each year.

This important week highlights the vital role that schools, families and communities play. Students can be bold, kind and take a stand to support others being bullied. Parents and teachers are there to support children and young people learn how to behave in a positive way. In our community and in our school, we want a place where everyone can belong, a place that celebrates everyone, and where bullying is never accepted.

Throughout the week, students will take part in meaningful discussions and activities centred around these key messages:

  • Be Bold - You have the power to help.
  • Be Kind - Your small actions make a big impact.
  • Speak Up - Have the courage to stand up against bullying.
  • Think Before You Post or Speak - Words matter, online and offline.
  • Together, We Can Stop Bullying - A whole-community approach is key.

To launch the week, our school celebrates 'Living Faith for Love Day’, a special event dedicated to fostering positive, respectful and healthy peer relationships.

The Role of Parents and Carers

Parents and carers are key partners in preventing and responding to bullying. One of the most helpful things you can do is understand what bullying is - and what it is not. While some behaviours may be upsetting or harmful, they might not meet the definition of bullying and therefore require different support or responses.

At Living Faith, we take all forms of bullying seriously and are committed to working in close partnership with families. This collaboration is one of the most effective ways to support children in navigating and resolving bullying-related issues.

To learn more about how you can support your child, including how to recognise, prevent and respond to bullying, we encourage you to access these fact sheets for families.

Together, through awareness, action and partnership, we can create a safe and supportive environment where every child feels they belong.
