Primary Learning

Growing remarkable young people

How Primary education works at Living Faith.

“Why?” It’s one of the first words children learn. And at Living Faith, we hope they never stop asking it. Because every inventor, artist, scientist, entrepreneur and leader started exactly the same way: with curiosity.

We believe that learning shouldn’t feel like remembering answers and reciting facts. It should feel like discovering, building, experimenting, wondering, creating, and occasionally getting gloriously stuck before figuring it out.

That’s where the good stuff happens.

First things, first.

Before children can write stories, they need to write sentences. Before they can solve big problems, they need to understand how numbers work. Before they can dream big, they need confidence.

So we spend the early years building up their academic foundations. It’s about giving your child the skills they’ll keep building on for years to come.

How the adventure unfolds...

Prep to Year 2

"Look what I can do!" Focus: reading, writing, numbers, curiosity, independence Here, your child learns to read, to count, to make friends. But most of all, they learn that school is somewhere you can feel happy. Somewhere you belong.

Years 3-4

"What happens if...?" Focus: critical thinking, collaboration, problem-solving, responsibility This is where young people start asking bigger questions, trying new ideas. They start building strong connections with their peers and discovering new interests.

Years 5-6

"I think I can." Focus: leadership, agency, reflection, confidence, secondary readiness Finally, your child starts taking ownership of their learning. Leading others. Finding their voice. This stage is about getting ready for the exciting adventure of secondary school.

Spaces designed for growing minds

Our learning spaces are designed to grow alongside our students. The Cubby, Treehouse, Learning Hub and Learning Plaza aren't just clever names - they're environments that encourage children to wonder, create, collaborate and gradually take more ownership of their learning.

As students move through primary school, the spaces evolve with them, supporting every stage of their journey from curious beginners to confident, independent learners ready for secondary school.

Let’s start the adventure together

Choosing your child’s first school is a big decision. So it’s important you explore our learning spaces, meet our teachers and discover what makes Living Faith different before you make up your mind. We’d love to meet you.
