Physical Learning Spaces
Our approach to learning is supported by our approach to the physical space and is informed by research that indicates the best learning happens when students are comfortable. Classrooms are highly flexible, enabling teachers and students to change the room configuration according to the learning taking place. The design of learning experiences is only limited by the imagination of the teachers and students; not by the inflexibility of the traditional classroom. Students have a range of furniture options from the traditional desk and chair to more collaborative spaces and standing desks. Our spaces cater for our extroverts, our introverts and our students with special needs. Writable surfaces encourage risk taking and prototyping that can be wiped away or recorded using devices. Our community booths and genius bars encourage and promote connections and relationships.
