  THE SCHOOL

VISION STATEMENT : Living Faith Lutheran Primary School values each person as a unique and valued gift in the sight of God, with individual talents and potential. As a Christian community, together with Living Faith Lutheran Church, we work to provide a Christ-centred education. The effectiveness of our goals is realised through the partnership of our school, congregation, early learning centre and parents.

To this end we: -

  • nurture and encourage the faith of each child in our living God
  • nurture the families within the school
  • maintain a Christian learning environment committed to developing each child's God-given gifts
  • help and support parents in the total education of their children
  • maintain the congregational links with the child care centre
  • establish strong links with the community
  • develop and provide a strong and effective educational base
  • employ staff who are practising and committed Christians willing to be fully involved in the development of the school, congregation and its families.

INTRODUCING THE SCHOOL :
Living Faith Lutheran Primary School is one of a network of over 80 co-educational schools run by the Lutheran Church throughout Australia. It was established by the Petrie and Sandgate Lutheran Parishes in association with Grace Lutheran College and the first intake of students commenced in January 2001.

Living Faith Lutheran Primary School is located on the corner of Brays and Ogg Roads, Murrumba Downs and caters for children from Prep to Year 6. The school currently has two classes per year level, with an enrolment of 365 students.

Management of the school is in the hands of an appointed School Council to whom the Principal is responsible for the operation of the school.

The school prides itself in being a caring community and providing a sound education with a Christian emphasis. Students come from a variety of religious backgrounds, including those not currently affiliated with a particular church

Living Faith Lutheran Primary School is built on the same site as Living Faith Lutheran Church and a close working relationship has been established and continues to be nurtured. The Church serves as a venue for worship.

The Church congregation also manages an Early Learning Centre, located at Petrie, which caters for babies up to pre-school age children. Entry from the Early Learning Centre to Living Faith School is provided for in the school's enrolment policy.

Living Faith is a partner school with Grace Lutheran College and as such our students receive priority entry into the College. Grace College offers Year 7-9 Middle School and Year 10-12 Senior School on their site at Rothwell.

Living Faith is a growing school for a growing community. Each year our enrolments grow and more buildings are planned and/or constructed. We thank God for the opportunity to shape and influence the lives of the children placed in our care. In many ways their future is in our hands and this is both challenging and exciting.
