Living Faith Lutheran Primary School, which is owned and operated by Living Faith Lutheran Church, offers its program of Christian Education to all applicants regardless of religion, gender, ethnic origin, ability or disability provided that:
(i) through the enrolment procedures parents/carers seeking enrolment for their child/children undertake to support willingly and freely the stated purposes of Living Faith Lutheran Primary School
and
(ii) adequate space and resources are available.
Enrolment Priority:
When applications exceed the number of available places, priority will be given to students from families where at least one parent is a worshipping member of the Lutheran Church and to those students whose brother(s) or sister(s) attend Living Faith Lutheran Primary School. Children who attend the Living Faith Early Learning Centre will be eligible for priority entry into Prep, providing their application has been received by 30th June two years prior to their entry to Prep. Priority then goes to children whose parents are worshipping members of Christian churches other than Lutheran, followed by children of parents who desire a Christian education for their child/ren. Within these guidelines, all applications will be treated according to date of application.
Prep: To be eligible for enrolment into Prep, your child must turn 5 years old by the 30th June of the year they commence Prep.
The main point of enrolment is via the Prep year, however students are also able to enter at other year levels dependent upon availability of positions in those classes.
At all times the Principal has discretion in applying the Enrolment Policy.
Termination of Enrolment
:
The Principal, with the approval of the School Council, may terminate the enrolment of any child should the continued enrolment of that child be regarded as prejudicial to the distinctive aims of the school.
Enrolment Procedure :
Initially, a completed Application for Enrolment Form, accompanied by an application fee is to be submitted, in order to place the child on the waiting list. An interview with the parents and the prospective student is held when a position becomes available. Parents with children enrolled for Prep are contacted regarding the enrolment process in February of the year prior to entry.
Acceptance of a place requires a commitment from parents to work together with the school for the education of their child. It also involves a preparedness to co-operate with the school in matters of policy and procedure and to pay fees when they are due.
The acceptance of an offer of a place at Living Faith Lutheran Primary School is to be accompanied by an enrolment bond, which is held in trust. This is repaid when the child leaves the school and all financial commitments have been cleared with the school.
